FOCUS Information Agency is the first private information agency in Bulgaria and was established in June 2000.
Eight years later FOCUS gained recognition as the most preferred source of information for the Bulgarian national and local print and electronic media, providing fast and accurate information about the events in Bulgaria, on the Balkans and around the world.
Today FOCUS Information Agency has over 400 employees – journalists, editors, reporters, translators and technical staff, working within different departments – Home News, World News, Balkan News, Sports, Archive, English Section, Radio and TV Monitoring, Print Media Monitoring and Database, etc.
To be able to constantly improve and diversify the products and services we offer, in 2003 FOCUS launched a special program for building and developing a specialized Monitoring Department, which is due to cover the needs for systematized information for our partners and clients.
In 2003, FOCUS Information Agency joined the FIBEP (Federation Internationale des Bureaux d'Extraits de Presse) at the organization’s congress in Cape Town, South Africa. FIBEP unites a wide range of companies located around the world operating in the field of press clipping and media monitoring. Its main goal is to provide a forum for exchange of experience, ideas, and initiatives among the member companies. In the modern world of over-information FIBEP is the way that its members access to the newest technological and business solutions for high quality media monitoring. Established in 1953 in Paris, FIBEP associates now nearly 100 agencies from more than 40 countries. FOCUS Information Agency presents Bulgaria in the frames of the forum.
FOCUS Information Agency is the only Bulgarian information and clipping agency that is certified under the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000, which is another proof for the high quality of the services we offer in the field of media monitoring.
